American Manifesto has cited Arts & Ammo on a few occasions. I knew that the outlook and views expressed there are similar to my own, but I didn’t realize how avidly and concretely they pursue arts and ammo until I saw this recent post:
I did two things today that I doubt are often done by one person on the same day.
1. Went shooting at a rifle range
2. Read Dante’s Divine Comedy
What could be more American – free mind and free fire? I loved every minute of it.
Is it an “unusual pairing” as claimed? Well, it’s certainly a very salutary pairing and the kind of pairing that should occur more frequently. Well done, Dod.
The combinations are, of course, unlimited. Today I hope to select music for the Lenten liturgy and watch the NFL playoffs. The passivity of watching TV scores a little low on the ammo scale, but there’s always tomorrow.
