A Toast to New Orleans

by Fitzroy on April 25, 2008

Since we’ve been considering the plight of New Orleans today, it seems fitting to stop by the Library Lounge at the Ritz Carlton and let Chris make us not one, but two, martinis. Keith Marszalek provides the video and each of you owes him a drink.

Fitz, thanks for the awesome video on the art and history of the martini. I myself am a classic martini man, which means GIN, and I like a couple of olives with them (note the plural). In N.O., the way to go is Mr. B’s for the $1.50 martinis with lunch, although sometimes Bacco will have ten cent martinis. I once had five ten-centers with lunch. I went home early that day. But it was great. I try to be patient with those who call a vodka drink a martini, but it’s difficult.
